Thank you to my clients who have allowed me to photograph my work in their homes. It is wonderful to see how my work fits into different living spaces. Often the colours in the paintings seem destined for certain decor!  This is a welcome happenstance, but not part of my plans while I am painting.!

Open Studio

Collective Collage1, paper and wax crayon, 2014
Visitors to my open studio last weekend enjoyed adding to our collective collage. I provided 10 x 8 photos of flowers and plants in my garden, different kinds of paper and several types of wax crayons and mark makers.  With a small space in which to work, collage worked well as a first effort. After the open studio was finished, I added the tones in the background in order to unify the composition.  This project has given me ideas for future collaborative efforts!

Studio News 2014

I have received my Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts degree from the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University.  This program has been mind-bending, exciting, challenging and satisfying. I have developed a theoretical basis for my work as well as expanding my repertoire of images and approaches.  In addition, I worked with some fascinating artists and acquired new friends across continents!  More to follow soon.
